VisiFlora and PreserVision AREDS2 can both appear in searches for “eye vitamins,” but they are built around different product concepts. PreserVision AREDS2 is designed around the specific AREDS2 nutrient formula; VisiFlora is a broader once-daily blend with botanicals and a proprietary blend.

The clinical distinction is the biggest difference
The National Eye Institute says AREDS2 supplements can help slow progression in certain people with intermediate AMD and in some people with late AMD in one eye. The same guidance says AREDS2 does not prevent AMD and is not shown to benefit people with no AMD or early AMD. That makes an AREDS2 product a condition- and stage-specific discussion rather than simply a “stronger eye vitamin.”
VisiFlora is not the AREDS2 formula. Someone specifically instructed by an eye-care professional to use AREDS2 should compare against the exact studied nutrient pattern rather than substitute based on shared ingredient names.
Transparency
PreserVision’s AREDS2 positioning makes the key nutrient amounts explicit. VisiFlora discloses seven nutrient amounts but groups lutein, zeaxanthin and twelve other ingredients into one 351 mg blend. That difference matters if you want to compare doses directly with clinical literature.
